会議漬けの毎日なので

友人で酔っ払って自分のBBSに書き込みをし、かなりの頻度で翌日の昼間にそのことを悔やむ一文を書く人間もいますが、私は頭がすっきりしないとブログは書けないタイプなので、INTEROP明けでオフィス滞在時間が異常に長い今週のDoblogのメンテナンスはある意味、ありがたかったのですが、本日は気になる記事の羅列だけです。

日本でのINTEROP は１３回目。友人には１回も欠かさず「出展」していて、たまには観客になりたい、と口にする兵もおります。
私は、３回「出展」しなかったかな。でも１回、二つのブースの担当となって、とってもダイエットになった記憶がある。
そんなダイエットは二度としたくないけど。

で、INTEROPに関する記事がまだ気になっていて、

と盛りだくさんなメディアもあれば

InteropでIT業界の景気回復を実感？
で終わったメディアもあります。
そうだな〜。ここ数年の寂れた感じは少なくなったのですが、景気回復、という印象はあまり・・・

そんな気分なので、この記事が心にひっかかってしまいました。

Optimism versus uncertainty

There is definitely a more optimistic air to the telecom industry these days, as more service providers see a genuine uptake in business and new service opportunities again loom on the horizon. With the memory of the late '90s meltdown still fresh on everyone's minds, that isn't euphoria you smell, just some honest optimism that industry is finally riding an identifiable wave of demand toward profitability and solid business strategies.

Against that backdrop, the ongoing debates in Washington have a bit more ominous air. Thus far, the Net neutrality proponents have yet to win a victory in the form of a vote, but arguments that the government needs to step in and regulate how service providers deliver Internet services continue to rage on unabated.

There doesn't seem to be much chance for Net neutrality of any substance to pass Congress this year--the overwhelming House of Representatives vote on Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas)'s telecom reform bill is a good indication of that.

But there is every opportunity for the ongoing debates on Net neutrality, video franchises, telecom reform, Universal Service Fund continuance and more to again raise anxieties on Wall Street. And, as we saw through the early part of the century, that anxiety can, and has, dampened investor confidence, regardless of current industry performance.

これは、
ネット中立性法案、米下院で否決

Googleなどのインターネット大手が通信／CATV大手に対抗して推進していたネットの中立性法案が、米下院で否決された。
法案は、この点を除けば広く支持されている通信改革法の改正案として出されたもの。AT&TやComcastといったブロードバンドプロバイダーに対して全インターネットトラフィックを無差別的な料金体系で扱うことを義務付ける内容だったが、269対152の反対多数で否決された。

に関したものですが、単にインターネットに接続できるだけで稼げた時代が懐かしい・・・という気分ですね。

さて、時代は変わり
内閣官房、総理からのメッセージ動画をPodcasting配信
という時代です。ブッシュさんからかなり遅れての開始なので、驚きはあまりありませんが。

さて、

という記事を読んで、今度こそはメンバー登録を今週末にしようかしら。２〜３回トライしたけど、混雑でできていないから。

でも
